Openlands Project Founded in 1963, as an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing public open space in the region. Information and resources on urban neighborhood programs, also features membership information. Liberty Prairie Conservancy Serves to protect, restore, and preserve the natural and human history of the Liberty Prairie Reserve area. CorLands A nonprofit organization that helps communities in northeastern Illinois increase the quantity and quality of open space for public enjoyment. This land trust serves to protect rare wetland and prairie communities through land acquisition and educational programs. Kane-DuPage Soil and Water Conservation District Provides technical information on methods of soil and water conservation, and natural resource inventory information on properties slated for zoning changes. Includes calendar and program information. Will-South Cook Soil and Water Conservation District Provides help and information about soil, water, and related natural resources.
